Hello everyone! I have a more serious question for you today. Is belonging to a church necessary to be a “true follower” of Jesus? Personally, I have a bit of a Thor mentally when it comes to church. My church is a people, not a place. I also feel Jesus much more often outside of a church setting - during game nights, in conversation with friends and family, out in nature, etc. I believe that a follower of Jesus is someone who loves wholeheartedly and as unconditionally as humans can manage it.

I do agree that church is a people and not a place, absolutely! But, I do think that if you are well established with your walk with Christ a church home is very important. It provides a place to gather with people you may not normally work with or enjoy being around. That seems terrible to say, but really, when you think about it if you are involved in church life you are constantly challenged to work with all types of people.
