Welcome to Worship in the Word Wednesday! The people of old used to read a section of the Torah and communally discuss its importance, usage, and meaning in their lives, ministry, and community. Therefore, the goal of the Wednesday devotionals is to spend some time in scripture and discussion. We are not here to dictate or claim righteousness. Instead, we are hear to talk about the lessons that can be learned from this divinely inspired book from any and all of God's children who wish to participate. 2 Timothy 16-17 says, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." It is my hope and prayer that the Lord bless our minds so that we may have clarity and understanding of the message in the written Word.

Colossians 3:12 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

- What stuck out to you this time through? Whether you've read a passage once or a million times, God will help us see things we haven't before or remind us of things we may have forgotten. - Did this verse raise any questions?

- What in this passage helped you see more of Jesus and his cross, or what moved you to love him more? - Is there someone who might benefit from hearing what you've seen and heard in this passage? Make some time to connect with them about it! - Why is this verse in the Bible?

Please share your thoughts in the comment section below! (These questions were based off of the five categories used to study the Bible according to Marshall Segal, a writer for desiringGod.org)
